This competition is ideal for high school students aged 14–18 who are passionate about writing, critical thinking, and exploring complex global issues. It is especially suited for students interested in fields like philosophy, international relations, ethics, technology, and social sciences, and who wish to showcase their analytical and creative thinking skills in an academic setting.
How to participate
Participants select one essay prompt from the provided list and submit a single essay through the official submission portal. Each submission must be the student's original work, with sole authorship. A referee contact (such as a teacher or counselor) is required for verification purposes.
Judging Criteria
Essays are assessed based on:
Critical Analysis: Demonstrating a strong ability to analyze and evaluate the topic critically.
Originality and Depth: Presenting unique insights and delving deeply into the intricacies of the topic.
Quality of Argument and Writing: Clear writing and well-supported arguments, with each claim supported by evidence or logical reasoning.
Critical Thinking and Creativity: Encouraging unconventional thinking and imaginative approaches to the topic.

Eligibility
Open to high school students aged 14–18 who have not yet started undergraduate studies.
Rounds
The competition employs a rigorous four-round, double-blind review process. Essays are evaluated anonymously by a panel of scholars from esteemed institutions, including Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Cambridge, and Oxford.
Prizes
Top winners (Gold, Silver, Bronze) are invited to an awards ceremony and dinner at King's College, University of Cambridge, on July 30, 2025. The dinner is free of charge for select award recipients. All winners receive certificates recognizing their achievement
